Low SWR specification. ▸SWR is proportional to frequency and becomes an important factor beyond the HF band. ▸In the 145MHz band and above, connector selection is important, and especially in the 430MHz band, the SWR changes greatly depending on the connector selection. ▸For RADILA products, we collect and measure a large number of connectors from Japan and abroad, use the best ones, and independently test the method of attachment to the cable to derive the best performance.
Ultra low loss. ▸Loss is greatly affected by the attenuation rate of the cable as well as the SWR of the connector. ▸ Even at lengths of several meters for mobile applications, the attenuation rate is not a negligible level and is considered a problem. ▸The thickness of the cable has a limit depending on the intended use, so if the thickness is the same, it will be compatible with the type. ▸This product uses SFA, which has the same thickness as FB but has one rank less loss. ▸8D-SFA-LITE manufactured by Fujikura Dia Cable Co., Ltd. has much lower loss than 8D-FB-LITE, and has the same loss performance as 10D-FB, which is extremely low loss. ▸Also, since CA wire (aluminum clad wire) is used for the internal conductor, the electrical performance is maintained while the specific gravity is less than half that of FB, making it lightweight and easy to use. ▸In addition, the outer cover is made of matte black PVC material that is soft and smooth.
Actual measurement data attached (SWR and passing loss) ▸ Normally, cable products are inspected only to check continuity and insulation, but with RADILA products, in addition to these, SWR, passing loss, phase, etc. are measured using a VNA (vector network analyzer). ▸Measurements are performed by 100% inspection, not by sampling. ▸All products are affixed with serial numbers to ensure thorough quality control.
The screws of the MP connector are metric screws. ▸ Regarding the screws of M-type connectors, the so-called M-type connectors currently in circulation in Japan include M-type connectors that use metric screws in accordance with JIS standards, and UHF connectors that use inch screws (PL259, SO239, etc.). ▸There is no difference in appearance between the two and it is difficult to tell them apart, but the difference is that once the screws are fitted together, they are tightened all the way. ▸This RADILA product uses a metric screw M type connector.
