[Synopsis] April 2022. The newly inaugurated cabinet includes a young lawmaker, Ichiro Seike (Sho Sakurai), who joins the cabinet for the first time as the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare. Seike, whose liberal words and deeds attracted the support of the people and was seen as a future prime minister candidate, was attracting attention as the centerpiece of a new cabinet aiming to rejuvenate the government.

At the same time, Kanae Michigami (Asami Mizukawa), a reporter for the literary department of Toto Shimbun, visits Seie's alma mater in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, to cover an article introducing his recently published autobiography. However, what his homeroom teacher tells him is that he is far from his current reliable image, and that he has a brain named Toshiya Suzuki (Tetsuji Tamayama), who does not appear in his autobiography. During their high school days, Suzuki coached Seie to become the student council president, and even now that he has become a politician, he still supports Seie as his secretary.
