Set up PCIe bifurcation mode for the corresponding PCIe slot in BIOS to support X4X4X4X4 or Hyper M.2 X16 mode (Note: X8X4X4 or X4X4X8 mode can only recognize 3 x U.2 SSD.)
Important: This adapter does not support PCIe Bifurcation and requires a motherboard that supports PCIe Bifurcation. Otherwise, only the NVMe-1 port can recognize NVMe SSDs. Please check the PCIe expansion slot section of the motherboard manual from the motherboard manufacturer's website or contact us directly before purchasing.
To reach the full speed of PCIe 4.0 X4 (64Gbps), the CPU, motherboard PCIe slot, and PCIe M.2 SSD must all support PCIe 4.0. (Note: PCIe 4.0 is not supported on Intel CPUs below 11th generation.)
Support OS boot: Reinstall OS and setup BIOS/UEFI boot from this U.2 SSD (Note: Some motherboards are too old and do not support OS boot. In this case, you can use U.2 SSD as a storage disk.)
OS Compatibility: Plug & Play with Windows 11/10/8/Linux/Mac OS (Note: Does not support Windows 7). A new U.2 SSD must be initialized and formatted before it can be recognized by the computer host.
